In October 2024 , 234 tax refund cases were determined for reduction or waiver (tax refund) of various taxes or waiver of taxes for vehicles on off-shore islands, totaling NT$ 608,809. The refunds were either electronically wired or sent to the tax payer in checks in double-registered mail. Proactive tax refund is the responsibility of the tax-collecting agency.
